Hassan: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will arrive in Hassan on September 6 for the inauguration of the Yettinahole project, Arsikere MLA KM Shivalinge Gowda has said. Speaking to reporters in the city, he said the work of draining the water of Yettinahole to the sea through Belur and Arasikere, has been successful.He said many ministers of the state cabinet and MLAs and district level officials from all parts of the project and water beneficiaries will participate in the programme. He said the much-anticipated ox stream project was launched during the previous Congress government’s tenure, and today it has come to fruition. “It is very satisfying to note that we will soon carry water to farmers across the state. I am proud to be the MP of Hassan district, which is the originator of this flow,” said Shreyas Patel, MP. He said it is important that not only Hassan district but also people of the entire state participate in the programme as everyone will benefit. Former Minister B. Shivaram, Congress District President Laxman, leaders Baguru Manjegowda, HK Mahesh, Muruli Mohan, Banavase Rangaswamy, Patel Shivappa, Devarajegowda, Dinesh Goudagere Prakash, DC Sannaswamy, Tarachandan, Vishwanath, and Kabbali Ramachandra were present.
