Releasing September 13: ‘Vikasa Parva’, — the story of ‘every household’

Hassan: Picture Palace, a theatre in Hassan city, and Tejaswi theatre in Sakleshpur will soon showcase a movie called Vikasa Parva, starring actors Rohit Nagesh and Swati.

Kannada Sahitya Parishad President KM Harish said at a press conference on Wednesday that  Rohit, who has been in the Kannada film industry for 22 years and has appeared in more than 35 films including Kannada and Telugu, is the lead in Vikasa Parva, his first in the lead role.

Rohit Nagesh and Swati are both from K. Hosakote in Sakleshpur taluk, and Vikasa Parva will be released in more than 120 theaters across Karnataka on September 13 this month. Rohit appealed to people to come and watch the movie, which has a good message for society at large, along with their families.

He said Vikasa Parva is a very sensitive movie, and those who have seen it feel this is the story of their lives, exteriorized on screen.  There is no hype anywhere in the movie, and there are just three songs and two fight scenes. “The filming has been done in Sakleshpur, Chikkamagaluru and Kodagu.  Photographers have captured the best of our surroundings.  I am confident that the movie will do well as it is based on a very good subject which will resonate with the people,” he said.

The lyrics have been penned by Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad.  Naveen Suvarna has handled the camera work.  Aras Action Cut has written the storyline and screenplay, and dialogues of this movie are by Vishwat Nayak.

“The film has all kinds of elements.  In the film, we have described a problem that happens in every household.  You should see that on the big screen. I want my film to run for as long as possible in my home district Hassan,” Rohit said. Actress Swati said, “I played the role of a housewife in the film, and how a woman should not be in a family is shown through my role.  This is a must-watch movie with family. People of the district are requested to go to the cinema halls and watch the movie. I am sure they will enjoy it.”

Rajesh Gowda, Ro. Mohan, Harish, and social activist Rati from Sakleshpur were present in the press conference.
