Minister appeals to Hassan to support ‘Save Democracy’ Yatra

Hassan: On the 15th of September, 2024, the “Save the Constitution” and “Save Democracy” yatra will arrive in the district and travel 114 kilometers, District in-charge Minister KN Rajanna has said.

Addressing the media on Thursday, he requested everyone to join hands for its success.

Speaking at the Collectorate, he said he will soon visit Arakalagudu, Hassan, and Belur and then proceed to Chikkamagaluru to spread the message of the movement. 

“A human chain will be formed in front of the historical sites of the district and a programme will be held to read out the Preamble of the Constitution, in a reminder of what needs to be done to protect democracy,” he said.

He requested elected representatives of the district, organizations, students, and the public to make this event a success.
