Hassan: World Vision Day was celebrated in Hassan on Wednesday, and on the occasion, the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) unveiled the latest equipment procured by the Ophthalmology Department at a function at 11 am in the hospital.
HIMS Director Dr. Rajanna presided over the programme. Principal of the teaching hospital Dr. Ravikumar, Chief Administrative Officer of BC Hills Dr. Rekha, Medical Superintendent Dr. Raghavendra Prasad, District Physician Dr. Lokesh, and District Health and Family Welfare
Officer Dr. Shivshankar participated in the event. Dr. Rajanna explained to the public about the importance of the advanced eyecare equipment, while Dr. Kavitha CV, Head of Ophthalmology at HIMS, Associate Professor Dr. Sandeep K and Assistant Professor Dr. Pavan Acharya also gave presentations, explaining the uses of the new technology that was procured.
Ophthalmologists of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka, and Principals of many schools and colleges in the district were present on the occasion.
