Hassan: In a tribute to the women power of Hassan, a district whose Collector, Superintendent of Police and ZP CEO are all women, Hassanite Rajitha has now bagged the global award for drawing the largest Rangoli ever.
Speaking to the media, she said that she was honoured with the award by the Nobel Word Records after her feat of drawing the largest Rangoli.
She said she was originally from Hassan, but currently resides in Katihalli, Bengaluru.
While she wanted to do something noteworthy in life, she chanced upon the idea of drawing the largest ever Rangoli and with great determination succeeded in her attempt.
Rajitha has drawn a 665.64-foot Rangoli using white colour (50 kg), and 100 kg of various other colours, in an incredible span of just 3 hours and 20 minutes.
“Earlier, I used to participate in Rangoli competitions during Ganeshotsava and fine-tuned my skills there. After doing so, I wanted to do something big in this domain, which is when I began researching this issue. I got a lot of information on the Internet and hence decided to give it a shot. It is a matter of great happiness that the award has finally reached me by courier on November 6,” she said.
