Hassan: The 2024 Karnataka state government employees’ union election will be held on 4 December 2024.
Strong aspirant for the post of district unit president, KM Srinivasa, has requested all employees to support him in his quest for victory.
“Last time I contested for the president’s post and lost by just one vote. Since then, I have worked hard to garner the members’ support. I have been working for years, inquiring about the welfare of all state government employees and participating in their hardships. As a result of this effort, we have established the Employees’ Land Construction Cooperative Society and are working towards providing plots to the employees at a low rate. Similarly, we have also established the Hassan District State Government Employees’ Cooperative Society and have taken steps to provide loan facilities to the government employees at a low interest rate. I request all employees to bless me and select me as president. If I win, my next plans are to empower state government employees with a better quality of life,” he said.
When asked what he actually planned to do, he said construction of a community building, accommodation for staff, and accommodation for retired employees are being envisaged. “Out of the money collected in the form of donations from the employees for the last District Kannada Sahitya Sammelan, Rs. 40 lakh still remains in the district collector’s account, unused. I will work hard to implement all the promises detailed herein if I am selected,” he added.
