District employees’ association polls: KM Srinivas confident of clean sweep

Hassan: The Hassan District Government Employees’ Association elections will be held on December 4 and all the election processes are underway.

“Out of the 74 directors who have already been elected as directors, more than 60 have expressed their support for our team. Due to this, our rival faction is disturbed and is offering the voters various types of financial lures. They are preparing to contest the elections through left-handed means. Shadakshari, who is already the State President of the association, is in the fray once again, while the name of one BP Krishnagowda of the Revenue Department is also being heard along with his. But the name of BP Krishnagowda has not been heard anywhere before. Therefore, we appeal to the directors to not get into any confusion over the matter and fall prey to any lures. We request them to make our team win,” urged KM Srinivas, while speaking in an exclusive interview to Hassan Today.

He also said, “We will work together to beat all the hardships of the employees and offer them our best. The fact that there are already more than 60 directors in our support is very favourable for our victory. I think we will win hands down. Only 12 directors have identified themselves with the opposite faction, but we know that while they are in support of our team, owing to some misleading statements, there seems to be some ambivalence in the matter. In reality, most of the directors are supporting us. We appeal to all directors to make a sensible choice and exercise their rights fearlessly without fear or favour. We are not giving any lures to the employees to win the elections. Our team is committed to fighting with them in every way, and hence we wholeheartedly seek their blessings and support.”

Srinivas is a very strong aspirant for the post of district president of the state government employees association.
