Bravery on the field, literally: Look what farmer Muthu did when attacked…

Hassan: A farmer who was harvesting maize was bitten by a snake and admitted to hospital in Hassan. Muthu (40) from Haveri was bitten by a snake near Harohalli border in Belur taluk, Hassan district on Thursday.

Muthu, on being bitten, immediately caught the snake by hand and put it into a plastic cover, and came all by himself to Belur taluk hospital for treatment.

Hospital staff were shocked to see him holding the snake in hand while suffering the pain of the bite simultaneously.

Muthu has been sent to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) for further treatment.

Dr. Akshat Gowda is the doctor assigned to treat him.
