


Hassan: The students of Vijaya School, Hassan, have brought laurels to the institution once again by excelling at the Southern India Science Fair – 2025 held from 21 to 25 January 2025.
The prestigious event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture Government of India, the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), Bengaluru, and the Directorate of School Education, Government of Puducherry.
Varun H.M. and Thribhuvan S. Gowda of class 10, guided by their mentor Anitha J, presented a project titled “Magnetohydrodynamic Drive”, which won great applause.
Competing against participants from six states, their exhibit achieved remarkable accolades such as the NCSM First Prize in Group Category, Karnataka Group Trophy for Best Exhibit and the Sir C V Raman Trophy for the Best Exhibit in Physics.
Their project and performance highlighted the potential of young minds in advancing scientific research and innovation, marking another proud moment for the school and the State of Karnataka.
