32 Bengaluru college students visit MCE, Hassan, in knowledge partnership effort

Hassan: As many as 32 students and three professors of Surana College, Peenya, Bengaluru, visited Malnad Engineering College (MCE) on 25 February 2025 as part of an exposure visit.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation activities under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).

Dr. Geetha Kiran A, Dean (Corporate Affairs), and CEO, ME-RIISE Foundation, spoke about the importance of the activities of NAIN and IIC and the need to promote an innovation-oriented environment.

Dr. S. Pradeep, Director, MCE, addressed the audience and appreciated the contribution of MCE to IIC and NAIN.

Appreciating Dr. Geetha Kiran’s excellent research fund attraction efforts, Surana College encouraged MCE to participate in innovation initiatives with the institution.

Dr.  P.C. Srikanth, Executive Principal, spoke about the six decades of MCE’s heritage and stressed on the need to learn fresh technologies.

C.R. Jagadish, Secretary, MTES, gave an impressive speech on the global vision and excellence of MCE.

R.T. Dyavegowda, President, MTES, opined that this visit was a significant step to introduce students to cutting-edge technology and entrepreneurship.

He appreciated the innovative spirit and research spirit of the MCE faculty.

At the conclusion of the programme, IIC coordinator Supriya M.J. offered the vote of thanks and thanked all the dignitaries who contributed to the success of the programme.

Dr. Mohana Lakshmi J, Associate Dean (Corporate Affairs), MCE, delivered the valedictory address.
