Hassan: Navkis Engineering College, Hassan, has bagged the first position in the men’s division basketball tournament organized by Visvesvaraya Technical University, Karnataka Central Division recently.
Nine teams participated in this tournament, and the finale was between Siddaganga Technological University and Navkis Engineering College, both of whom had been consistently victorious in all their league matches.
Navkis students secured a thrilling victory in the finals with 32-29, just three points ahead of Siddaganga players.
Navkis College of Engineering is a subsidiary of the MS Ramaiah Group of Institutions.
Principal of the college, Dr. M. Venugopal Rao, Dean Sripad Markande, Sports Coordinator Dr. Manjunath, Director of Physical Education, Abhishek M, Assistant Physical Teacher Narasimha T.A., and professors Dr. Raghavendra and Dr. Pratap Kumar were present at the felicitation ceremony.
