Hassan: Hassan MP Shreyas Patel recently presented his views during a meeting on the economy chaired by Dola Sen, Chairman of the Economic Standing Committee at Parliament House, New Delhi, and drew his attention to the various problems facing the district.
The important issues of Hassan Lok Sabha constituency that were highlighted were as follows: Crop loss and difficulties with respect to coffee, pepper, cardamom, paddy and other problems faced by growers; compensation for such loss, human-animal conflict, especially in the hilly parts of the district resulting in crop damage and loss of farmers’ lives, and solutions to the problems of employees and workers in the district, among others.
Seeking substantive solutions to the problems described, the MP officially submitted a written memorandum to the Standing Committee drawing their attention to these issues.
