Hassan: On Monday, at 10:30 am, the Karnataka Growers Federation will hold a Farmers’ Grand Convention and Annual General Meeting at the APMC Ground, Sakleshpur, Dr. HT Mohankumar, President of the Association, has said.
The event will be attended by Union Minister of Commerce, Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Iron, Steel and Industries, H.D. Kumaraswamy, Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna, and Minister of Revenue for the Government of Karnataka, Krishna Byre Gowda.
Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre, Cooperatives Minister and Minister in-charge of Hassan district, K. N. Rajanna, Leader of Opposition R. Ashok, Hassan Lok Sabha MP Shreyas Patel, Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha MP Kota Srinivas Poojary, Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar, Bangalore South Lok Sabha MP Tejaswi Surya, MLAs, and MLCs apart from dignitaries from coffee growing areas will also participate in the event.
There will be a large number of agricultural exhibits in this conference and several issues faced by coffee growers will be presented to the powers that be, in this conference.
The Association has appealed to all growers to participate actively in the meet.
