Hassan: With the slogan of “Save Education, Culture, Humanity,” the 70th Foundation Day programme of the All India Democratic Students Oorganisation (AIDSO) was organized in front of the Hemavati Statue in the city on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Subhash, Treasurer of AIDSO State Unit, said that AIDSO has been organizing an uncompromising struggle for the last 70 years to save public education and solve the problems of students.

He said that many demands have been fulfilled due to this struggle.

With the motto that every child born in this country should get an education without discrimination, he said this education system should be secular, scientific and democratic.

AIDSO is continuously moving forward in all states and is actively organizing students, he said.

“Responding to the call of our organization, lakhs of students are taking membership of AIDSO,” he claimed.

“Our society is facing a cultural crisis today. Morality has declined, the surrounding environment has become polluted, and all of these are affecting students. AIDSSO is spreading the lofty thoughts of freedom fighters and pioneers of the Renaissance like Netaji and Bhagat Singh to fight against this epidemic of cultural degradation,” he said.

He also advised people to take inspiration from great minds to save education, humanity, and culture, and raise voice against the commercialization of education, hunger, poverty, unemployment, violence against girls and in turn build a better society.

AIDSO District Coordinator Chaitra, office-bearers Sushma, Mamata, Purushottam, Shyamala, Dhanushree, Jayant, Mahantesh and students from various colleges participated in the programme.
