Hassan: Hemavati, the Chief District and Sessions Judge and the Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, has called upon everyone to exercise their electoral rights and also realize their responsibilities towards the country by compulsorily voting during elections.

Speaking after inaugurating the National Voters Day programme organized by the Election Commission of India and the District Administration, at the auditorium of the Government Engineering College in the city, she said that National Voters Day was celebrated to create awareness among the youth on the need to participate in democratic life.

“It is essential for the youth to understand the importance of the rights given by the Constitution.
